If you're seeing this error while installing a theme on WordPress, don’t worry — it’s a common issue and easy to fix.
This usually happens because the file you're trying to upload is not the actual installable theme file.
At GPL Mama, we sometimes bundle multiple files or documentation inside one ZIP file — so before installing the theme, you need to extract the main ZIP file.
Here’s how to fix it:
Extract the downloaded .zip file on your computer.
Look inside — you’ll find another .zip file named like theme-name.zip.
Upload that file to your WordPress to install the theme properly.
📌 Note: WordPress only accepts installable themes in .zip format.
